Meet Sophie Simpleton

THE UN-EXTRAORDINARY LIFE OF SOPHIE SIMPLETON

I love my mountain, and I wanted to incorporate the beauty of the mountain in a story that would inspire others to live extraordinary lives. That is when I was introduced, by my mind, to Sophie Simpleton.

“Hello,” my mind said to me. “Please allow me to introduce you to a young nearly-nine year old girl called Sophie Simpleton who lived on your mountain back in the 1970s.”

I responded by saying, “Hello Sophie. Nice to meet you.” I smiled and reached out my hand to shake hers. She was somewhat wary to do so, as she later explained, because at that very moment she was suffering from a bad case of warts. So we chatted for a while, and decided that, for a little while at least, we would catch up on a daily basis.

I would ask Sophie, “So what are we going to get up to today Sophie?” She never disappointed.

So here we are. This un-extraordinary BIG little person, in the eyes of many, turned out to be rather extraordinary. To let you in on a secret - from the very first day I met her, that was my plan.

And now with the sequel 'Simply Sophie Simpleton' written, and her eye patch removed, we follow Sophie Simpleton on even more adventures...
